Level 4 Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Vacancy

Base: Preston Primary School, Old Paignton Road, Livermead, Torquay. TQ2 6UY

Salary Details: Grade F.  Level 4 Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - £11.50 to £12.70 per hour

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our talented and forward-thinking team in September 2021.  The post is for 28.75 hours per week (9.00 am to 3.15 p.m. Monday to Friday during term time, to include support across lunchtimes).  The post is permanent and will be based on a blended core (permanent) and variable hours contract.

The post would suit:

  • HLTAs who have a L4 qualification (or equivalent) and/or experience of teaching whole classes;
  • Qualified teachers who are looking for a team-based position in a primary school but with shorter working hours than a traditional class teacher post;
  • Newly or recently qualified teachers who would like more class-based experience before becoming a class teacher.
