Decision for new school hangs on planning outcome

Future of our new 2 form entry primary school hangs in the balance

The new primary school approved for Coast Academies is now part of the planning application for the Inglewood development situated between Windy Corner and Whiterock.  The application for 400 hundred houses to be built on green fields has been controversial and there have been a large number of objections. The consultation ended on the 11th April and we are now waiting for the application outcome. The school will only go ahead if the housing development is approved since the developer has agree to provide the site for the school and of course the need for pupil places will be driven significantly by the new houses.
